ABOUT JULIE

Julie's passion is harnessing nature's inspirational beauty through creative expression. Her yoga practice, hand-crafted jewelry and hair design were all born from this desire and it carries through all aspects of her life. It is the inspiration behind Hidden Fox Salon, Julie’s non-tox & sustainable beauty salon in Arroyo Grande, CA. After decades working in all aspects of the beauty industry, from massage therapist and esthetician to salon owner, Julie has returned to the one thing that fuels her every day – and that’s you, her clients. It is her joy to enhance the organic beauty in all of us.

Julie’s love for hair design began at a young age. As her appreciation for an organic lifestyle grew, it was difficult to reconcile using toxic products and chemicals in her work. Her time working at Aveda was an education in sustainable beauty, and 25 years later, while the beauty industry still hasn’t evolved as much as it could, Julie is grateful for companies such as Davines, Oway, Doterra, Loma, HBL and Formula 18 that are creating high-quality, organic products. She is proud to carry them at Hidden Fox Salon and use them in her work as a certified organic stylist.

Julie lives in rural Arroyo Grande with her husband and 2 horses, 3 dogs and 2 cats (until another feral cat shows up at her doorstep and she patiently draws it into her family). Her love of animals, nature and a clean, organic lifestyle is her inspiration and she can’t wait to share it with you when you visit her at Hidden Fox Salon.
